Worry less about perfection

Understanding that many of the things that happen in the world around you are outside your control is a key part of the practice of mindfulness. If you can accept this, you can start to worry less about perfection.

This week, practise quietly noticing some of the ‘imperfect’ things that are outside your control – like a delayed train or bus or the ‘wrong’ weather. Practise being with that awareness, without struggle – and save your energy for the things you can actually influence.
